Passing the Time in Pasadena: April 2014 Events

Looking for ways to pass the time in Pasadena this month?  April has a packed lineup of local events, which promise everything from fresh produce to 80’s music and novelists.

T. Boyle’s Tavern hosts a throwback to the 80’s on Friday, April 11. Dale Bozzio will perform Missing Persons hits at the popular Pasadena bar.  The show starts at 9:30, and the limited supply of tickets cost $20 each.

Teens can attend an age-appropriate event later that month at the Pasadena Public Library, where the annual Pasadena Teen Book Festival will run from noon to 4 PM on Saturday, April 26. Dozens of young adult authors will speak and sign books at this free event, which was organized by Bridge to Books.  The local organization is a group of educators, writers, and others who are committed to encouraging kids to read.

Ever Saturday this month, the Pasadena Certified Farmers’ Market takes over Victory Park. The award-winning market offers goods from certified growers and venders throughout Southern California. Sample everything from organic jam to gourmet jerky, in addition to an abundant supply of fresh, local produce.
