- Look out for phishing scams – reputable businesses and companies will never ask you to send your personal information over email. If you are not sure about an email that you get, contact the company directly to ensure that your personal information is not compromised.
- Avoid public Wi-Fi – public Wi-Fi is much easier to hack than private Wi-Fi that requires a password. Even though it may be tempting to check your email while at a coffee shop or airport, try to avoid it to keep your personal information safe and sound.
